Positive ThinkingPosted: May 22 in Lifestyle by Wendy Scinta
Lifestyle change as part of your medical weight loss prgram has you on a more positive path to a great life. One of the things you need to do to keep yourself in a great place is to think great thoughts. If you think you can’t do something, you’re probably right, but if you think you can, the sky is the limit.
Praise yourself for what you’ve accomplished and think about how great you’re doing every day, during every meal, and after every exercise session. Small compliments to yourself through the day help you stay positive and keep your positive mindset.
Try to compliment yourself once an hour. If you miss an hour, you can make up for it with two compliments the next hour. Make sure they are real, honest compliments and you dig deep for things you love about yourself. You may always say, “please” and “thank you” – compliment yourself for caring about other people, even if you don’t know them, enough to show them consideration and politeness. The key is not rushing through the compliment and letting yourself feel the pride and joy that come from being good to yourself.
Even something as small as truly and actively enjoying your surroundings, whether you are in your home or out walking, can help you stay positive. Pay attention to the birds chirping in the trees and the smell of the air around you while you are outside. This keeps you focused and in a great, positive place in your mind.
